CLINICAL STUDIES
Think beauty sleep with a Cupron Cosmetic Pillowcase is too good to be true?
Study our science and think again.
Copper is an essential mineral that can help our bodies form helpful skin-firming proteins like collagen. Because copper ions are infused into the woven satin material of the Cupron Cosmetic Pillowcase, they penetrate as we sleep, and help promote the production of proteins and small capillaries in the skin.
Clinical Trial Shows Significant Improvements in Skin Firmness
|
In a clinical trial, 57 people participated in a study in which half of them received the Cupron pillowcase and half did not. Neither group nor researchers were aware who had which pillows during the study and photographs were taken of each participant in order to track changes. By the end of the four week trial, it was found that there was a statistically significant improvement in the skin of those who used the Cupron pillowcases compared to those who did not.

University Study Proves Copper's Restorative Effects
|
Another study done by the School of Natural Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University tested copper's effects on skin cells responsible for repairing and firming skin. They measured the production of collagen, elastin, and other proteins, as well as new capillary growth. They found that copper promoted the growth of proteins which could help reduce the damage that oxidative stress can cause. For this reason, their conclusions have led them to support the use of copper in cosmetics.
