The Background Apple Cider Vinegar has long been part of folk remedies. In fact, cider vinegar is one of the oldest fermentation processes known to man! It all started when the Babylonians and Egyptians started making wine. Next, around 2500BC, a nomadic tribe created a soured apple wine — the forerunner of apple cider — before people all over the world began experimenting with ACV. Supposedly even the Ancient Greeks were into the stuff! Today, this ancient remedy has been resurrected and glorified to the max — for good reason, too. |

The Active Ingredients (aka, the nerdy stuff) - Tonik No.2 Apple Cider Vinegar is organic, unfiltered and contains the mighty “mother” — a natural source of body-loving proteins, digestive enzymes and friendly bacteria. It’s what gives the liquid its cloudy appearance, and also what makes your gut smile. - Tonik No.2 also contains vitamins B1, B2, and B6; biotin; folic acid; niacin; pantothenic acid; and vitamin C. - Smaller amounts of the minerals include sodium, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and significant quantities of acetic acid and citric acid (aka, the good stuff). The Process Apple Cider Vinegar is fermented juice from crushed apples. Ours is carefully processed to preserve the benefits of the all-important ‘mother of the vinegar’ and is made in a two-step process. The first step exposes crushed apples (or apple cider) to yeast, which ferments the sugars and turns them into alcohol. In the second step, friendly bacteria is added to the alcohol solution, which further ferments the alcohol and turns it into acetic acid — the main active compound in vinegar. The result? More health benefits than ya mum’s apple pie. The Dose 650mg |
