Description

5-ALA 20% Small

Experience the power of advanced skin rejuvenation with our 5-ALA 20% treatment. This innovative therapy utilizes Topical 5-Aminolevulinic Acid (5-ALA), a potent agent that selectively targets abnormal skin cells and bacteria.

How It Works:
During the treatment, 5-ALA is applied to the skin for a specific duration, allowing it to penetrate and be absorbed by the affected areas. Following this application, the skin is exposed to Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), which activates the 5-ALA, leading to the destruction of abnormal cells. As these cells are eliminated, they are replaced by healthy, normal skin cells, promoting a rejuvenated and revitalized appearance.

Key Benefits:

  • Selective Targeting: Effectively targets and eliminates abnormal skin cells while preserving healthy tissue.
  • Enhanced Skin Renewal: Stimulates the production of new skin cells for a clearer, more youthful complexion.
  • Versatile Treatment: Suitable for various skin concerns, including pigmentation, acne, and uneven texture.

30 minutes of incubation time is required without occlusion.

This unit is for single use only. The ALA comes with a small vial containing a powdered solution and a solvent, which is mixed in to activate the treatment.

Unlike cream tubes that must be used within a few days once opened—often at a high cost—this ALA formulation allows for activation only when you're ready to use it. This means it has a longer shelf life when not activated.

PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment primarily used for advanced acne (grades 3 to 5) and sun damage. PDT has been proven to be highly effective both therapeutically and cosmetically, even for severe acne.

During the treatment, a medication called 5-ALA (Topical 5-Aminolevulinic Acid) is applied to the skin for a specified time. The ALA is selectively absorbed by abnormal skin cells and bacteria. Following this, the skin is exposed to Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), which activates the 5-ALA. This process results in the destruction of the abnormal cells, which are then replaced by healthy skin cells.

Skinspots Skin Cancer Clinic
We did our first 5 ALA patient last Friday, and was very impressed with the result.  We did a patients face and hands one half with the 5 Ala and the other half with Metvix and there was a very obvious difference.  The 5 ALA had a much better response.
We would very much like to continue using your product for our PDT treatments.
